Dolores A. McCabe is no stranger to literature. She graduated from
Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, PA, in 1973 with a BA in English
Literature and Philosophy. In 1990, she graduated from SUNY The College
at New Paltz with a BA in Applied Music, Piano. Ms. McCabe worked at
the Mid-Hudson Library System, Poughkeepsie, NY while working toward
her second degree. Upon graduation, Ms. McCabe operated a private piano
instruction studio for fifteen years in the Hudson Valley while she
raised her family of six children.
During that time, she began work on her four novels, and has devoted
twenty-five years to dedicated research, editing and revision. Her
characters are drawn from real historical figures and are firmly
planted within their real historical times. Ms. McCabe's novels are the product of extensive research and artistic imagination.
Ms. McCabe has reviewed for The Children's Book Review Service. The
creative imagery in her four historical romance novels are each set
around one of the four ancient Alchemic symbols that govern life on

Ms. McCabe lives in central New York with her husband and her beloved Miniature Poodles and Cocker Spaniels.
