At the age of 15 I began sewing dresses and lined jackets for myself to wear to school, then to college and as I entered the workforce. After marriage I continued sewing for my 2 daughters, as dresses were still the attire worn at school. My most aggressive projects were sewing the maid-of-honor dresses, bridesmaids, and flowergirl dresses for both my daughters weddings. One event in 1978 and the other in 1981.
After the wedding in 1981 I decided that was enough sewing and put my machine away for what I thought was forever. I QUIT!. Five years later though, my first granddaughter was born and country bunnies were popular. My daughter came to me and asked me to "Please make one for April" How could I say no? The sewing machine came back out, and I fell in love with sewing all over again. Twenty years of sewing dolls, quilts, and various critters have now passed, they have seen shows all along the East Coast, and the love is still there. I hope you enjoy having them in your home, as much as I love making them for you.
